More like BridgeBONED, am I right guys?

That’s about as long as my treads last. But, I’m running a staggered not rotatable set up with summer tires.

Not down to the wear bars yet, looks fine to me. Should get at least 35k out of them.
The Pirelli PZeros I had on my 2011 Mustang GT with Brembo package were completely gone by 18k miles...and I got about double the mileage most owners did.

Switch to a touring tire (harder compound). I had those same Bridgestones originally on my Silverado. They lasted twice as long, but that was because it was mostly 80% freeways.

The Dueller HL Sports that came with my Outback were done by 20,000.

Yeah but for sport tires that’s impressive

No surprise there.

I just don’t see the point in pouring hundreds of dollars worth of tires on a vehicle with less than a year on its lease. :(

I threw a set of Pirellis on mine, as they had some really favorable reviews.

eeeeeexactly. I never buy expensive tires! Yay my endless supply of free “still good” take offs from work lol :]

Good morning Nibby, those aren’t the factory tires, are they?
There are only two tires I buy: Michelin X-Radials from Costco and Goodyear Viva 3 tires from Walmart. The latter are about 25% less expensive than the former.

Same here! Except for my cars that have to deal with snow, that’s a different story. And now the 55 because the rear has a weird size.

Sure is. Doubt the previous owner rotated the tyres though and they had these Yokohamas on it that wore so quickly you could almost watch it.

Someone told me that factory tires are different from replacement tires, even for the exact same brand and model. Manufacturers supply OEMs with a different tire spec. Less rolling resistance on the OEM tire, I was told. Also an extra 1/32" of tread.
![]() 02/28/2016 at 16:41 |

What’s the point of rolling resistance on a whale on wheels?
![]() 02/28/2016 at 16:46 |

Just reporting what I was told. MPG, probably. I know we’re supposed to expect a drop in mileage when we swap out the OEM tires. (As I will go to my grave never having owned a showroom-new car, I’ll never have the opportunity to test this theory for myself.)

I had to do tires around that mileage on my 2011 Sequoia. Was not happy. Had 11 months left on lease at the time.

My (wife’s) Odyssey consistently eats tires. At 67k miles we are well into the third set. It’s a big heavy front driver. Also, the oil change interval doesn’t come up often enough to rotate them enough. On this set I have her taking it to the tire place half way between oil changes for free rotations.
It also eats brakes.

Welp there goes that whopping 14.7mpg

Fun fact, all auto makers put the cheapest tires they can from the factory.
Next fun fact, there are 7 different bridgestone dueler h/t’s available to me at work. All different part numbers. Some have a better UTOQ, obviously they’re more expensive.
This happens a lot when people try to price match tires from walmart. Just because it says michilen lattitude for instance doesn’t mean it’s the same tire. Different part number, UTOQ, speed rating, etc. Different tire, usually from a different plant (non u.s. plant most of the time.)
Same name, different grade tire.

My OEM tires are on Tirerack for 160 each. They suck. For about 30-40$ less per tire I can have something far superior. Also from Tirerack.

try these guys before you do tire rack. No shipping fee.

I’m in Canada though. Our dollar pretty much wreaks any US-Canada purchase from the start right now, I just went to tire rack to find my options.
That said, I didn’t know Discount Tire didn’t have a shipping fee. I guess I’ll see if that applies to Canada or not
